   Tennis champion and new mom, Serena Williams, has withdrawn from the Australian Open ... saying she's not quite ready to compete on a tournament level after just giving birth on September 1, 2017 to her beautiful daughter.

IPOB launches Hausa Radio Service


 

   The outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has announced the official launch of Radio Nigeria Hausa Service. A statement signed by the group's publicity secretary, Emma Powerful, says the maiden daily broadcast of the radio will hit the airwaves on Saturday, January 6th this year by 7pm Nigerian time. It will broadcast on Short Wave 15110 KHz 19 Meter Band.

   Emma Powerful boasted that the broadcast will have the widest coverage of any radio signal in Africa and that it will be received all over West, East and Southern Africa. It said every Hausa speaking community in Africa will be able to receive it.

Ministry of Petroleum Resources denies reports on plans to Increase fuel price

 
 
    The Ministry of Petroleum Resources has denied reports that there are plans to increase the pump price of petrol. In a statement released by the ministry's Director of Press, Idang Alibi, he said the report making the rounds on social media is false. Read the statement below

   "Our attention has been drawn to publications making rounds on traditional & social media alleging that the HMSPR Dr. Ibe Kachikwu dropped a hint of an impending fuel price increase during the Joint Senate and House of Representatives Committee hearing on fuel scarcity in Nigeria.
