Buhari Honours MKO Abiola, June 12 Now Democracy Day

 

   Chief  Moshood Kashimawo Olawale (MKO) Abiola finally got his place in the Hall of fame yesterday. President Muhammadu Buhari invested the presumed winner of the June 12, 1993 election posthumously with the nation’s highest national honour, the Grand Commander of the Federal Republic (GCFR). Besides, Prsident Buhari recognised the date of the election – June 12 – as Democracy Day.
