(GENERAL) Nnamdi Kanu Leaves Israel For London



   Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has left Israel and has arrived England where he is also a citizen.
   The pro-Biafran leader touched down Yesterday evening at Leeds Bradford Airport in England and is set to unite with his deputy, Uche Mefor in London for “further diplomatic movement aimed at Biafra referendum.”

  For a President in a democracy to suspend the CJN is totally unacceptable, a clear breach of the rule of law and the constitution and a manifest violation of the principle of separation of powers. If anyone thinks that we are practising democracy in Nigeria that person needs to have their heads examined.

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has described the suspension of Justice Walter Samuel Onnoghen as an “attempted coup against the judiciary” and has demanded its reversal.

    In a statement issued its place, Paul Usoro (SAN) yesterday, the association said the action of the executive arm of government “portends a slide into anarchy and complete deconstruction of the Rule of Law and due process.”
