(LOCAL) Kano Anti-Corruption Commission Recommends Sanusi’s Suspension

 

    The Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-corruption Commission has recommended the suspension of Muhammadu Sanusi, emir of Kano.

   The commission said during its investigation, it uncovered that N3.4 billion was misspent by the emirate under Sanusi. The amount was said to have been misappropriated between 2014 and 2017. According to NAN, this is contained in a preliminary report of investigation conducted by the commission and signed by Muhuyi Magaji, its chairman. The interim report raised four cardinal issues bordering on indictment, amount involved, obstruction of investigation and recommendations.

   Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Monday signed the state 2019 Appropriation Bill and three other bills into law. The new Capital Expenditure stands at N479.691 billion while Recurrent Expenditure is N393.841 billion, which ratio 55-45 per cent.

(LOCAL) Court Grants Bail To Woman Who Claimed Snake Stole JAMB’s N35 million

 

   An FCT High Court on Monday admitted Philomina Chieshe, charged with alleged “missing” N35 million belonging to the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to bail in the sum of N20 million.
