(LOCAL) Kano Governor Scraps Emir Sanusi’s Royal Parade

 
   The governor of Kano state has cancelled an annual city parade by the powerful traditional emir, officials said today. Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje scrapped the horseback procession by the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, after a security meeting held late on Wednesday.

   The president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has been arrested in France. Ahmad Ahmad, was arrested today at the Berri Hotel in Paris, France.

(LOCAL) Sokoto Gets New Secretary To State Government

 
 

   Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has appointed the Ubandoma of Sokoto, Hon. Saidu Umar as the new Secretary to the Sokoto State Government. Umar was the immediate-past Commissioner of Finance in the state.

(LOCAL) Governor Makinde Bans NURTW In Oyo



  The Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, has proscribed the activities of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, in the state. Makinde, while declaring the activities of NURTW illegal, also announced the immediate take-over of all motor parks in the state.
