   Former UEFA president Michel Platini has been arrested in France over the awarding of the 2022 World Cup to Qatar.

Ondo State Governor Sacks 3 Commissioners

 

    Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu has sacked three of his commissioners. This was disclosed in a statement issued by Segun Ajiboye, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, on Monday. The affected individuals are Solagbade Amodeni, Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development; Taofiq Abdusalam, Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure; and Ismaila Olurimisi., Commissioner for Culture. 

Crime Rate Is Reducing In Nigeria - IGP Adamu

 

   The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu, has said that crime rate in the country is in decline in recent times, due to the enhancement of the institutional capacity of the police.

  Specifically, he said the force had arrested 424 suspected kidnappers across the country and recovered 10,860 ammunitions of various descriptions from criminals.Adamu, during a conference with senior police officers at the Force Headquarters yesterday, said the arrests were made between May 10 and June 14, 2019.

    Jeffrey Apkovweta Ewohime, the 31 year-old Nigerian smashed seven vehicles belonging to the Nigerian High Commission in London.

AA Suspends Okorocha‘s Son In-law, Uche Nwosu

 

 

   The Action Alliance (AA) has suspended Uche Nwosu, its candidate in March governorship election in Imo state. Nwosu, who is the son-in-law to Rochas Okorocha, a former governor of Imo, was accused of insubordination, anti-party activities and mismanagement of funds.
