#s*xforgrades: UNILAG setup task force to check sexual harassment

 

  The University of Lagos has set up a task force to address issues of sexual harassment with a view to stemming the ugly tide. The university’s Principal Assistant Registrar for Communication, Mrs Taiwo Oloyede, said in a statement that the move“is in continuation of the institution’s unrelenting campaign against the menace of sexual harassment and other forms of inappropriate behaviours.

   The institution recently suspended two senior lecturers exposed in alleged sexual harassment in a BBC investigative documentary video, ‘African Eye’. The documentary also exposed some lecturers of the University of Ghana, Legon. “The task force has the mandate to examine the extant University of Lagos policy on sexual harassment, receive complaints from faculties, departments and other units concerning matters that border on sexual harassment. “It is to also receive oral and written testimonies from staff and students involved in cases of sexual harassment and recommend appropriate sanction for offenders.

APC In Edo State Under My Control – Governor Obaseki


    Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State, has again warned government officials to keep mute over the ongoing cold war between him and the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole. This is even as he asserted that he is in full control of the State chapter of the APC.

    The Governor, who gave the warning in a statement on Wednesday in Benin, told them not to join issues with Oshiomhole, even in the face of “extremely hostile, malicious and incorrect statements” allegedly spread in the media by the former Governor’s media aides.

27 Years Old Boxer, Patrick Day Dies Of Brain Injury



  Junior Middleweight boxer, Patrick Day, has died after suffering multiple injuries to the brain following the devastating knockout loss to Charles Conwell on Saturday night in Chicago.

   Day was knocked out in the 10th round of his welterweight bout with Conwell on Saturday (see video of the Brutal knock out here) and immediately the referee noticed he was unconscious, he called for paramedics who rushed him to North Western memorial hospital in Chicago were he had been in a coma. He finally passed out on Wednesday night, and his promoter Lou DiBella confirmed the news to pressmen. 

Aisha Buhari apologizes over leaked video in Aso Villa



    Aisha Buhari today apologised to her family and well Nigerians for any embarassment the viral video of her shouting in the villa might have caused. A video of her shouting at Mamman Daura's daughters in the state house sometime in 2017, was released on the internet last week Friday.
