Yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine infirmities. — 2 Corinthians 12:5

Dr. Edward Judson, in speaking of the life of his father, Adoniram Judson, at the dedication of the Judson Memorial Church in New York City, said, “Suffering and success go together. If you are succeeding without suffering, it is because others before you have suffered; if you are suffering without succeeding, it is that others after you may succeed.”

Luke 22:49 ‘When they which were about him saw what would follow, they said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?’

Luke 22:49

The Lordship of Jesus is one of the central themes of scripture. It is clear that many times the word ‘Lord,’ when referring to Jesus, is equivalent to the divine name ‘Yahweh’ or ‘Jehovah.’ To acknowledge Jesus as Lord is to acknowledge His deity (Jn. 20:28).

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. – 1 Corinthians 13:13

What do you do when you’re facing a particularly stubborn problem? A problem that resists your every effort to solve it?

Put the power of love to work on it! The power of love is the greatest power in the universe. It’s beyond defeat. It never fails (1 Corinthians 13:8).

The Bible says God is love. So when you release love into a situation, you have released God into it. Think about that! When you start releasing love into a situation, Jesus becomes responsible for its success.

What is this love I’m talking about?

“Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.’” – 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)

I am glad for every one that has received Christ into his life. If you have received Christ, then you are in Christ. And it is important that you understand your standing in Christ. The phrase “In Christ” is something you will never see before the resurrection. It is a post resurrection statement. The phrase: “In Christ” is powerful.

Memorise: “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” – Hebrews 11:6

Read: Matthew 19:27-29 (KJV)

27 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?

28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.
