Senate Summons Aregbesola Over Visa-On-Arrival Policy Introduced By Federal Government
The Senate on Tuesday has summoned the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola to explain details of the visa on arrival policy introduced by the Federal government.
President Buhari had announced that the new policy will come into effect from January 2020, but lawmakers argue that the policy is in furtherance of the continental free trade agreement which needs to be domesticated. Senator Olubunmi Adetunmbi who cited Orders 42 & 52, moved a motion on the urgent need to seek domestication of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement by Act of the National Assembly.
Ex BBNaija housemate Tacha sues Blessing Okoro for defamation, demands N20m compensation for damages
Ex-Big Brother Naija reality TV star, Anita Natacha Akide popularly known as Tacha has come hard on relationship blogger, Blessing Okoro Nkiruka for defaming her.
In a statement released by Tacha’s lawyer, E. B. Meabe under Baridi Law Chambers Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Blessing is accused of circulating series of defamatory remarks and comments against Tacha. The statement further says that Blessing Okoro will have to pay a fine of N20,000,000 (Twenty million naira) to Tacha as compensation for damages.
