Coronavirus: Newcastle ban handshakes at training ground

 

   The threat of catching coronavirus has persuaded Newcastle United to abandon a cherished morning ritual.  Steve Bruce’s players have become accustomed to shaking hands with every teammate and member of the backroom staff each day as they assemble for training but the practice has been temporarily halted on medical advice.

Nigerian man pleads guilty to trafficking 150g of cannabis

 

  A Federal High Court in Lagos on Friday ordered that a 27-year-old man, Kareem Osho, who pleaded guilty to trafficking 150g of cannabis, be remanded in a correctional facility.

Women in gombe now boil used sanitary pads and drink its content- NDLEA

 

  The Gombe State command of the Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), has revealed that some women in the state has grown from normal drugs addiction to now boiling of used sanitary pads, filtering and drinking the water to get high.

  Muhammad Alkali, the commander in charge of Funakaye Local Government Area of the state disclosed this, while sensitising residents of Bajoga, the headquarters of the council, against illicit drugs.

APC suspends Obaseki’s aide


    An aide to Governor Godwin Obaseki, Mr. Kaycee Osamwonyi, has been suspended from the ruling All Progressives Congress for allegedly engaging in acts of thuggery, hooliganism and causing factions within the party.

   Kaycee was suspended by APC leaders in Ward six Uhunmwode local government area. The motion for the suspension of Kaycee was moved by Hon. Harrison Orobor and adopted by party members present at the meeting.

Buhari inaugurates new NASS Service Commission


     President Muhammadu Buhari has inaugurated Engr. Ahmed Kadi Amshi and 11 others as chairman and members of the National Assembly Service Commission.
