UNILAG tells workers not to resume on Monday

 

   The University of Lagos on Sunday has asked workers not to resume until it put in place a phased timetable for resumption.

A statement signed by the institution’s registrar, Mr. Oladejo Azeez, noted that only workers on essential duties were expected at work. The statement reads:

COVID-19: Zamfara Emir Dies In Isolation Centre

 

   The Emir of Kaura-Namoda in Zamfara State, Alhaji Mohammed Asha, is dead. He is believed to have died of complications from COVID-19 while undergoing treatment at an Isolation centre in Gusau, the state capital.

Nasarawa Assembly Member Dies Of COVID-19

 

  A member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Adamu Suleiman, has died of coronavirus   (COVID-19).

  Suleiman is the first patient to die of COVID-19 complications in the north-central state since Nasarawa reported its index case of the disease. The state governor, Abdullahi Sule, announced the death of the lawmaker while briefing reporters on Sunday in Lafia, the state capital.

  Emir of Rano, Dr Tafida Abubakar Ila ll, one of the four emirs of the newly created emirates in Kano State, is dead.

Warri Catholic Diocese Directs Parishioners To Worship From Home

 

   Catholic Diocese of Warri in Delta State has directed catholic faithful to continue to worship with their families from home or follow online daily streaming of masses over the rising cases of the COVID-19 pandemic in the state.

   It said despite the partial reopening of churches by the Delta State Government, catholic parishes in the diocese, would remain shut to public masses until further notice.
