The Nigerian Air Force, NAF, today
said it had redeployed 67 senior officers, comprising 30 Air Vice Marshals,
AVMs, 17 Air Commodores,10 Group Capt. seven Wing Cdrs. and three Sqn. Ldrs.
A statement signed by its Director
of Public Relations and Information, Group Capt. Ayodele Famuyiwa, and made
available to newsmen in Abuja, said the redeployment came on the heels of the
decoration of senior officers recently promoted to the ranks of AVMs and Air
Commodores.
The statement said that Prominent
among those affected by the new posting at the NAF Headquarters, Abuja are: AVM
Muhammadu Muhammed, newly-appointed as the Air Secretary, among other
appointments.
The statement explained that the recent
redeployment though a routine exercise, was aimed at ensuring that NAF was
effectively manned for operational efficiency and effectiveness.
The statement explained further that
it was in line with the vision of the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique
Abubakar.
However, the postings will take
effect from Dec. 22, the statement added.
