Nigerian Army promotes 227 officers

The Nigerian Army has promoted 227 officers to various senior ranks in the Nigerian Army at the Army Headquarters, in Abuja.

Speaking at the decoration ceremony, the Chief of Army Staff, General Tukur Buratai, confirmed that out of the 227 promoted officers, 21 were decorated from the rank of Brigadier Generals to Major Generals while 93 were decorated from the rank of Col. to Brigadier Generals among others.
He congratulated the newly decorated officers, even as he enjoyed them to see their current rank as a call for more critical roles as individuals while promoting the image of the Nigeria Army.
Among the newly decorated Brigadier Generals to Major Generals was Major General Muhammed Aliyo, who had a fatal motor accident on the job.
