The Nigerian Army has promoted 227
officers to various senior ranks in the Nigerian Army at the Army Headquarters,
in Abuja.
Speaking at the decoration ceremony,
the Chief of Army Staff, General Tukur Buratai, confirmed that out of the 227
promoted officers, 21 were decorated from the rank of Brigadier Generals to
Major Generals while 93 were decorated from the rank of Col. to Brigadier
Generals among others.
He congratulated the newly decorated
officers, even as he enjoyed them to see their current rank as a call for more
critical roles as individuals while promoting the image of the Nigeria Army.
Among the newly decorated Brigadier
Generals to Major Generals was Major General Muhammed Aliyo, who had a fatal
motor accident on the job.
