Senate confirms board members for National Population Commission.

    The Senate has approved the nomination of persons to serve on the board of National Population Commission, NPC.

   The approval follows the committee’s report which was submitted to committee of the whole by Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi representing Kaduna North Senatorial district.

    In the report, the committee submitted that the nominees, having passed through rigorous screening, were cleared.

According to reports, those approved are: Engr. Benedict Ukpong, Gloria Izonfuo, Barr. Kupchi Ori Iyana, Haliru Bala and Eyitayo Oyetunji.

    In his ruling, Senate President enjoined the nominees to bring innovation into the commission, while tasking them to show commitment in the course of their duties.
