Former first lady of Akwa Ibom state, Imo Isemin, has died

 

    The wife of the first civilian governor of Akwa Ibom State, Akpan Isemin, Mrs Imo Isemin has died. According to her family members, the former first lady took ill on Tuesday September 19th and was taken to a private hospital in the state where she died from an undisclosed ailment.

North Korea: Mystery quake 'not nuclear test'


     A shallow magnitude 3.4 tremor has been detected near North Korea's nuclear test site, but experts believe it was a natural earthquake. South Korea said the specific soundwaves of man-made quakes were not recorded, while China said the tremor's features were of a natural quake. International nuclear test monitors expressed a similar view.

Iran tests missile despite Trump pressure

 
    Iran says it has successfully tested a new-medium range missile, in defiance of US President Donald Trump. The launch of the Khoramshahr missile, which has a range of 2,000 km (1,242 miles), was shown on state TV. It is unclear when the test took place.
