The police in Edo state have arrested the Proprietress of God’s Orphanage Home, in Benin, Edo State, Kehinde Blessing Imarhiagbe, for complicity in the alleged theft of 4-year-old Elo Ogidi. Elo was abducted from church in Lagos state on July 8th and was found in the orphanage run by Imarhiagbe last Friday.
2019: INEC Meets With Security Officials, Seeks Ways To Prevent Vote Buying
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says it will do everything it can to prevent buying of votes and other forms of electoral malpractices during the 2019 general election. At meeting with security officials on Tuesday in Abuja, the INEC chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, stated that the trend of vote buying is threatening the credibility of elections.
