Senator Akpabio bags Presidential Appointment From Buhari
President Muhammadu Buhari has now appointed former Senate Minority leader, Senator Godswill Akpabio as the National Coordinator of the Presidential Support Committee. Pastor Mfon Okon, the Akwa Ibom state Coordinator of the committee, who disclosed on Thursday, in Uyo said four indigenes of the state have also been appointment into the committee.

Oil price drops to $48, $12 below 2019 budget benchmark
The price of crude oil, yesterday, dropped from $50 to $48 in the international market, showing $12 below Nigeria’s $60 per barrel 2019 budget reference price. Specifically, the price of Brent, West Texas Intermediate, WTI and the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries, OPEC, basket of 15 crudes stood at $48.00, $43.38 and $47.92 per barrel respectively. Independent National Electoral Commission develops special app to monitor 2019 election
Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, said it had developed a special mobile application that would allow Nigerians monitor the 2019 general election and reduce electoral malfeasance. A National Commissioner with INEC and Chairman, Board of The Electoral Institute, TEI, Dr. Mustapha Lecky, made the disclosure in Abuja, while declaring open a three-day workshop on Electoral Security Training of Trainers Workshop for State Training Officers.
