Earlier this week, Lille president Gerard Lopez revealed the future of the in-demand winger is close to being decided, while Pepe stated in February he was open to a move away from the French side.

FIFA bans ex-Liberian football chief over Ebola funds theft

  Musa Hassan Bility, the former President of the Liberian Football Association (LFA), was on Wednesday handed a 10-year ban by FIFA over corruption, including misuse of funds meant for Ebola awareness campaign.

Fayemi reinstates ex-TUC boss, Kolawole Olaiya into the civil service



    Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has reinstated the former Trade Union Congress (TUC) Chairman, Kolawole Olaiya into the civil service.

   The reinstatement was consequent on the report of the State Committee on the Review of Irregular Appointments chaired by the Deputy Governor, Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi nullifying Olaiya’s disengagement from the civil service.

Senate commences ministerial screening




  The Senate has commenced the screening exercise of 43 nominees forwarded to it by President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday.

PDM Withdraws Petition Challenging President Buhari’s Re-Election

 

   The Peoples Democratic Movement (PDM) has withdrawn its petition challenging the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari at the 2019 presidential election. At the resumed hearing on Wednesday counsel to PDM, Mr Aliyu Lemu, informed the tribunal of the desire of the petitioners to withdraw their petition.
