DSS Arrest Staff Of Usmanu Danfodio University Teaching Hospital And Four Others Over Sale Of Two Kebbi Children


     Five suspects including a staff of Usmanu Danfodio University Teaching Hospital Sokoto (UDUTH) have been arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS) over alleged sale of two children, abducted from Zuru in Kebbi four months ago.

  The sold children, two boys aged one year eight months and four years, were rescued by the DSS. They were presented to Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu by the State Director of the DSS, Muhammad Kaumi at the Government House in Birni Kebbi on Sunday. Kaumi informed the Governor that, one man and four ladies were apprehended for the offence and investigation was ongoing.

Corporate Affairs Commission to de-list companies over annual returns



     Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) on Monday urged companies operating in the country to file in their annual returns as provided by the law or risk being de-listed from its register. Mr Moses Adaguusu, Head Public Affairs, CAC, told News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja that the call became necessary in view of the need to keep the commission abreast of such companies that were still in operation or otherwise.

   An annual return is a mandatory requirement every enterprise or incorporated trustees must file annually by delivering to CAC a return in the prescribed form containing specified matters related to the organisation in accordance with Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA).

Tanker explodes at Iyana Ipaja, Lagos


     A fuel tanker explosion was recorded in the early hours of today October 11, at Pipeline Road, Gate Bus Stop along Ayobo Road in Iyana Ipaja, Lagos.

Former Petroleum Minister, Tam David-West, dies at 83

 


     Tam David-West, a former Minister of Petroleum, has died. He was aged 83. Although the circumstances surrounding his death is yet to be ascertained, President Buhari in a statement released by his media aide, Garba Shehu, mourned the former Minister who he described as an ''ally and friend''.
