   The incumbent Governor of Bayelsa State, Seriake Dickson has stated that electoral irregularities took place in the Governorship election held in state on Saturday November 16. Governor Dickson who rejected the outcome of Saturday's election, alleged that it was part of the grand plan to enthrone a one party system in Nigeria.

Governor Makinde withdraws crowns from 21 Ibadan kings

 

   The lingering crises between the Olubadan of Ibadan land, Saliu Adetunji, and his High chiefs was put to rest on Tuesday, November 19th when the state government withdrew their crowns as part of the condition to settle out of court.

   The Olubadan and some of his chiefs, among whom are the Otun Olubadan, Lekan Balogun, Balogun of Ibadan land, Owolabi Olakulehin and others who are also members of the Olubadan-In-Council had in the last two years been engaged in a conflict.

House of Representatives To Abolish Acceptance Fee Into Tertiary Institutions

     The House of Representatives is asking the Federal Ministry of Education and the National Universities’ Commission to immediately abolish the payment of acceptance fees into tertiary institutions. This resolution follows a motion raised by Representative Chinedu Martins.
