Korean Sect leader to face murder charge over coronavirus spread



   The leader of a Christian sect in South Korea is facing criminal charges, including murder, for allegedly obstructing efforts to control the virus spread.

    Lee Man Hee, the founder and spiritual leader of the Shincheonji Church of Jesus, and 12 of his followers are accused of withholding the names of sect members who may have been infected with the virus.

   A former Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Maurice Iwu, said today that his team had discovered a cure for the deadly coronavirus.

Coronavirus patient did not attempt to escape Lagos isolation centre



   Lagos state government has described as untrue, stories making the rounds that the quarantined coronavirus patient, at the Mainland Hospital, Yaba, Lagos had attempted to escape. The state government insists that the patient is in a stable condition and has been moved to a better and more conducive place.

Coronavirus: Nigeria Receives Treatment Protocol From China

 

    The Nigerian government says it has received a protocol from the Chinese government to treat persons infected with the novel coronavirus.

   The Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire, disclosed this at a news conference on Friday in Abuja following the confirmed case of the virus in Lagos. He explained that the government of China, were the first case of coronavirus was reported, has succeeded in treating thousands of people infected with the virus.

   Ex-Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has appealed the ruling of a Lagos High Court, which struck out a suit seeking to stop the House of Assembly from probing his procurement of 820 buses meant to revolutionise public transportation.
