  New India U17 girl’s head coach Thomas Dennerby has appointed former Nigeria international Precious Dede into his backroom team as a goalkeeper trainer.

Senate introduces bill to establish Electoral Offences Commission

 

  The long awaited bill, titled, “Electoral Offences Commission (Establishment) Bill”, 2019 passed second reading at Wednesday’s plenary session. Abubakar Kyari, senator representing Borno north, sponsored the bill. It was introduced a day after the senators lamented the violence and irregularities that have continued to mar Nigeria’s elections.

Federal University of Technology Akure expels six students for bullying

 

   The Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) has expelled six students for bullying their peer, simply known as Bolu, in an off-campus hostel on November 17. Video of the battery of the student trended on the social media last week, forcing the university authority to immediately suspend the assaulters.

   A statement signed by the University’s Deputy Director, Corporate Communications, Mr. Adgbenro Adebanjo, noted that an investigation panel recommended their expulsion “in line with the position of Page 48 of the 2019/2020 Students Handbook which prescribes expulsion from the University for Students who engage in, ‘Physical assault or battery on another student outside the university premises.’”

Terrorists falling to its superior power- Nigerian army

 

  Nigerian Army says its troops of Operation LAFIYA DOLE has continued to exert superiority against remnants of Boko Haram/Islamic State West Africa Province elements, thereby neutralising a number of them in recent encounter. The Nigerian Army Operations Media Coordinator, Col. Aminu Iliyasu, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja.

   Iliyasu said that the troops came in contact with elements of Boko Haram terrorists on Tuesday at Sabon Gari, a known Boko Haram criminals’ crossing point into Sambisa Forest. He explained that the troops responded and neutralised three of the Boko Haram criminals’ logistics couriers while others escaped into the forest.

All of Christ’s sufferings did not end when He finished His earthly ministry.

He still takes the persecution of His people personally as is revealed by His statement to Saul on the road to Damascus: ‘Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?’ He didn’t ask Paul why he was persecuting His people. He said, ‘Why are you persecuting Me?’ When we are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, it is actually Christ who is being persecuted.
